As ever this series is a source of mellow if melancholic pleasure. And this installment was as satisfying as it's predecessors. Surprisingly the mystery felt more center-stage than in some of the previous books even though there was a fair amount of emotional development on Maisie's part. I suspect that she's learning to segregate her personal life from the professional one which was her trouble in earlier times. Good for her. Next book, here I come!
